Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, we work closely with clinics and laboratories that have the necessary equipment for more comprehensive blood testing. Our protocol is to do the blood collection either in our van or at your house, and we then send the sample out. Results may be out within the day or a few days (for external laboratories). If, however, we see that your pet is acutely sick and needs the blood test result straightaway for immediate diagnosis, we will refer you to a hospital for further testing and hospitalization without delay. Our blood testing service is hence more suitable for prevention, monitoring and reviewing purposes.
Conventional medication are still necessary for certain diseases that either are needed to stabilize your pet, or are able to work more quickly to keep your pet comfortable, while waiting for other gentler forms of treatment to take over. Our aim is to improve your pet’s quality of life immediately, while also offering long-term solutions for chronic diseases.
Unfortunately, we are not equipped to handle surgeries due to the size limitations of our van. We can help recommend clinics that fit clients’ needs and expectations for surgeries and hospitalizations. If we deem your pet in need for further workup and hospitalization, we can help transport your pet at the time of consultation to a nearby vet clinic or hospital of your choice for a fee. All subsequent costs of treatment will henceforth be handled by the clinic your pet has been referred to.
